Many thanks to all who attended the 43rd Surrey Lacrosse Association Annual General Meeting, held Friday, November 24, 2017.  We presented award winners (in attendance) with their plaques and want to extend heartfelt appreciation to everyone who took time to nominate these winners.  There were many excellent nominations to choose from but ultimately we have to choose just one.  The awards (click on link to open photo) went to:

2018 BC Summer Coaches Applications

In July 2018, the BC Summer Games are taking place in the Cowichan area.  The BC Games brings together British Columbia's best emerging athletes, trained coaches, and certified officials for four days of competition.  The games are a milestone event that people count as an experience of a lifetime where memories, friendships, spirit, and pride are abundant.

The BC Lacrosse Association is looking for zone coaches for both Box Lacrosse and Field Lacrosse.  The application is now up on the BCLA website https://bcla.imeetcentral.com/bcla/doc/WzIsNDMwNTkxMTBd/.  Coaches, leading up to the Games, will need to be Trained at Competitive Introduction - Level 2.  The deadline to apply is 11 January 2018.


Sunday Evening Sessions with the Langley Events Centre and Langley Thunder

All levels welcome!  Sundays 6:30-8:00pm at Willoughby Community Park.  Instruction from Tyler Pace and other Pacific Coast Lacrosse (not affiliated with PCFLL) coaches.  Fees (cash only, paid at field): U13 - $5.00/session, U15 - $10.00/session, U18 - $20.00/session, Coaches - free.  For more information, e-mail tyler.pace@pacificcoastlax.net.


Lacrosse 150Lacrosse 150 Car Decal

To celebrate organized Lacrosse's 150th birthday in 2017, the BC Lacrosse Association has created a die-cut, removable car decal (size is approximately 5 ½ inches wide by 5 ½ inches tall).  Cost is $5.00/decal (plus postage), with net proceeds from the sales of these decals supporting the BCLA's three scholarship/bursary funds:  Wayne Goss Scholarship, Ted Fridge Scholarship and Dorothy Robertson Memorial Bursary.
