Special Notes:

  • There will not be an in-person registration session.  Drop-in practice sessions will be free for those children that have registered for the regular season.  You must be registered to participate in drop-ins.
  • A player is not registered until a completed registration form is received and payment is received in full.
  • Registrants must fill-in all names, addresses, phone numbers (including cellular phone numbers) and e-mail addresses of all parents/guardians so that we can send out important notices as they arise.  Being informed in a timely manner is important so please help us help you.
  • New players will need to scan and attach additional paperwork (see below) to an e-mail addressed to the Registrar at registrar@surreylacrosse.com.
  • In addition to registration fees collected by the association, there will be additional team specific fees to pay for tournaments and other team events.  This will be determined by individual teams and will be collected by the team manager.
  • Shorts are included in the registration fee.
  • When registering for 3 or more children, the third and additional children will be HALF PRICE!  Please complete the on-line registration for all of your children and the SLA will reimburse you for the reduced fees.
  • First time Mini-Tyke, Tyke, Novice or Female lacrosse players who register will receive a free lacrosse stick!  Please inquire with coaches at the FREE drop in sessions (from January to March) or your specific team coach in order to receive your stick.
  • Players in each division will be entered into pools in his/her respective divisions.  When enough players in a division register to create a "team", a new pool will be formed in hopes that enough players register to complete another team.  If multiple teams are formed in a division the final team composition will be determined through tryouts in divisions Novice and older.
  • Depending on registration numbers, there will be tryouts for players in the Novice, Peewee, Bantam and Midget divisions.  There may be an additional cost for this to cover floor time, referees, and evaluators.  There are no tryouts for Mini-Tyke or Tyke or any of the Female divisions.  The dates for tryouts will be posted on our home page soon.
  • Due to the size of our Association, releasing of players to another association may occur if we do not have enough players to form teams.  Executive and coaches will keep players/parents informed of these decisions
  • All Female Players must register in the female divisions and be placed on the Female Registration List.  Female players wanting to play on a male team must first register in their female division and then complete and submit a request to play on a male team form to the President at president@surreylacrosse.com.  All requests will be reviewed by a team from the Executive for final approval.
  • SLA will not be fielding a Female Junior team - any female players born between 1998 and 2002 are to please contact the registrar at registrar@surreylacrosse.com to obtain information on placement with another association with a Female Junior team.
  • All players in divisions Peewee, Bantam, and Midget must have Complete Concussion Management Inc. (CCMI) Baseline testing done prior to playing in any game for Surrey Lacrosse.  The Association will provide a CCMI preferred location that offers a discount from regular facilities.  Any CCMI facility is acceptable.
  • Drop-in practice sessions will be starting in early January 2019.  Notification of locations and times for each division will be posted on our home page for details.

If you have any questions regarding the registration process, please contact the Registrar at registrar@surreylacrosse.com.
