Volunteer Hours
Will I be required to volunteer?
Yes, families will be required to help out their child(ren)’s team throughout the box lacrosse season by volunteering for the following:
- Scorekeeping
- Timekeeping
- Volunteering at a Tournament put on by the SLA
- General tasks needed for the coach(es), team manager, and/or the team
Once teams are established, the Team Manager will assign volunteer tasks to players as the season goes on.
Practices
Where do practices take place?
Practices will take place at any one of the outdoor boxes throughout Surrey. These locations include:
- Cloverdale Athletic Park
- Holly Park
- Unwin Park
- Kwantlen Park
Once teams have been established and coaches assigned to their teams, a practice schedule will be set for the season. Each team will have their set practice day(s) and time(s) each week at one of the above mentioned locations.
* Additional indoor practice time can be purchased by the team, if available, for the season.
Games
Where do games take place?
Each team will be given a set home game time and will take place each week at one of the following facilities:
- Cloverdale Arena
- North Surrey Sports & Ice Complex
- How many games will there be each week?
There will be a minimum of two games each week – One home game and one away game.
